This song details the early hour on Lord's Day September 23, 2018 as we were all gathered around my wife's bedside. The Lord arrived in the hospital room at 1:30 AM to take her into His bossom right before our eyes. She had about another 5 minutes of life in her as she was taken off the life support systems that had sustained her failing lungs.
She was not visibly conscious, but perhaps she heard the singing as well as the whispers her husband was speaking into her ear, saying "with every last breath we praise the Lord, and with every last beat of our heart we love the Lord." That night, Jesus came into the hospital room as the King of Peace. His sweet presence of peace could be felt in the room as Edith was tranferred from our realm back into the bosom of the Lord. Afterwards, as we began to leave the hospital, comments were heard, saying "When I die, this is how I would want to go, this was actually quite a powerful experience." "Edith Celeste Doering was clearly an overcomer."

"If the path i travel"
This song ministered healing to me in the months and years following the passing of my wife in 2018.
